We didn’t start Foldie® with big investors, a polished business plan, or fancy credentials.
We started it with a messy suitcase. And a mom who deserved better.
It began when the two of us — a sister and brother duo — watched our mom struggle to pack for a trip she was both excited and nervous about. The suitcase didn’t cooperate. The bag was bulky and confusing. She kept saying, “I wish I had something simple. Something made for someone like me.”
So we got to work.
With barely any money in our bank accounts and zero experience in product design, we sketched, prototyped, and obsessed over every stitch. We asked: What would make packing feel peaceful? What would help someone feel confident at the gate, not flustered? What would feel like a hug in bag form?
The result was The Foldie® Travel Bag — designed with our mom in mind.

Foldie® wasn’t built in a boardroom. It was built for real people who want travel to feel easy, not overwhelming.

From our family to 1 million+ travelers worldwide
We launched Foldie® with one product, no marketing team, and more fear than funding. We never expected it to resonate like it did.
But something happened.
People didn’t just buy our bags — they wrote to us. Hundreds, then thousands of messages from women who finally felt confident to travel again. From caregivers packing for loved ones. From people who hadn’t flown in years, saying “This made me feel ready.”
